Germany has great beer…
Every town has its own brewery making the local beer. Alt beer in
Düsseldorf, Kölsch beer in Köln and Weiss beer throughout Bavaria. Very tasty
stuff.
Germany has embraced renewables…
There are solar PV (electric)
panels on many homes, factories and farms in every little town. There are
hydroelectric dams all along the river. And methane digesters at sewage
treatment plants and farms. Not as many windmills as I'd like, but you can't
have everything.
Germany has the best bakeries…

you forgot to mention the German engineering...
Has the quality of baked goods increased or decreased now that you've entered Austria and are approaching the home of the (Viennese) pastry? Also, shouldn't you be turning south some time soon? The Danube doesn't flow through Croatia, you know.
